He was predeceased by: his parents, James Washington Philmon, Sr. and Clara Virginia McCurley Philmon; his son Glen Edward Philmon, Jr. (Trish); and his brother James Washington Philmon, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Helen Crabtree Philmon; his daughters, Sherri Hotard (Chris) and Rhonda Cairo (Jimmy); his siblings, Martha Virginia Philmon, Evelyn Marie Philmon Estes, William Hardtner Philmon and Jake Carrol Philmon; his grandchildren, Shane Philmon, Kristin Hotard Barboza, Allyson Cairo Wade and Megan Hotard Jarrell; and his great grandchildren, William, Palmer Wade, Collin Barboza and Kenneth Jarrell.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist New Orleans Church (5290 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
