It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Joseph Dugas (Metairie, Louisiana), born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Dugas and Alice Dugas; and his siblings, Noah, Paul, Louis, Albert, Inez, Denise, Doris, Ann and Cecile.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Everett Dugas; his children, Michelle Dugas Pomes (Scott) and Paul Everett Dugas (Mary); his grandchildren, Katie Marie Pomes, Patrick Everett Pomes, Beau Everett Dugas, Bailey Dugas and Emma Dugas; and his siblings, Alfred Dugas, Marie Ernest and Mary Alice Costanza. He is also survived by numerous godchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church (309 Manson Ave, Metairie, LA 70001). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred.
