Though Dorothy Hughes may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Hartenstein, Sr.; her parents, Daniel Hughes and Theresa Froeba Hughes; and her brother Joseph Hughes. She is survived by: her sons, Eric Hartenstein (Mary) and Richard Hartenstein, Jr.; her grandson Matthew Hartenstein (Erica); her great grandchildren, Colin Hartenstein and Dylan Hartenstein; and her brother Daniel Hughes. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at the same location.
