We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Doris Mayer Berthelot of Metairie, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Mayer and Melanie Kreutz Mayer; her husband Alvin "Al" Berthelot, Jr.; and her siblings, Katherine Faucheux, Melanie Romaine and Frank V.

She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene Berthelot Shockley (Dwayne), Ellen Berthelot and Kay Berthelot Wessels (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Drew Smart (Alison), Stephen Shockley, Kendra Linck (Cameron) and Courtney Wessels; and her great grandchildren, Olivia Smart, Lincoln Smart, Miles Smart, Peyton Shockley, Cohen Shockley, Chloe Shockley and Baylor Linck.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift to First English Lutheran Church, 3701 Cleary Ave., Metairie, LA 70002, would be appreciated.
