He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton James and Marguerite James; and his wife Mary Evan James. He is survived by: his brothers, Carlton (Marilyn), Curious (Mary) and Henry James; his half-sister Willie Mae James Lewis of Plaquemine, Louisiana.; and his friend Lyonetta W. Flowers. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
