Betty Chapman Tassin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2024, at the age of 88, Betty Chapman Tassin of Metairie, Louisiana, born in Saint Landry, Louisiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Chapman Tassin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Mervin Anthony Tassin, Sr.; her parents, Jercy Chapman and Beulah Monier Chapman; and her siblings, Faye Dean Lachney and Joseph Chapman.
She is survived by: her children, Toni Jeanne Tassin, Mervin Anthony Tassin, Jr. (Sonya) and Kevin Paul Tassin, Sr. (Yvette); and her grandchildren, Kevin Paul Tassin, Jr. and Jarod Schellhaas Tassin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
