She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Roberts and Lotta May Yates; her husband Thomas Nelson Gilbert; her son Michael Gilbert; her siblings, Lorie Watkin, Kenneth Roberts (Bernice), Joe Roberts (Betti), Don Roberts (Ira), Wayne Roberts (Rosie), Barbara Roberts Horn and Rhonda Jenkins; and her nephews, Philip Roberts and Glen Roberts.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Gilbert Chavez (John); her grandsons, Jeremy and Brant Chavez; her great grandchildren, Breanna Chavez and Ryan Chavez; her siblings, Randy Jenkins and Robin Jenkins; and her nieces and nephews, Darrell Roberts, Lori Roberts, Kelli Roberts Walker, Teresa Roberts, Michael Roberts, Lynn Roberts Lussier, Shawn Roberts, Marilyn Roberts Morse, Jolene Roberts, Jerry Watkin, Johnny Cain, Ron Harrison, Don Roberts and Dale Roberts.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memories Funeral Home (4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
