He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Eaves; his daughter-in-law Sharon Eaves; his parents, James Eaves and Georgia Eaves; and his siblings, Edsel Eaves, Elsie Smith and Muriel Thornton.
He is survived by: his sons, James Eaves, Jr. (Amy), Darrell Eaves (Bonnie) and Michael Eaves (Lynne); his grandchildren, Timothy Eaves, Anya of Moss Bluff, LA, Victoria Anderson, Chris of Johnson City, TN, Sam Eaves of Greenville, SC, Ben Eaves of Denver, CO, Ashley Sonnier, Nicholas of Denver, CO, Cody Eaves and Delaney of St. Martinville, LA; and his great grandchildren, Kassandra Anderson of Johnson City, TN, Tidus Eaves of Moss Bluff, LA, Bruce Eaves of Moss Bluff, LA, Teddy James Eaves of St. Martinville, LA and Georgia Eaves (Arriving). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and a bounty of friends.
