Thomas Phillip Constant Jr. Obituary
Thomas "Rick" Phillip Constant Jr., 80, of Meraux, La., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 2, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a native of New Orleans, La., and a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. Rick was a member of the Christian faith, Arbor Day Foundation, NRA and graduated from LSU Police Academy. He was formerly employed from law enforcement with the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office and Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office and then retired from Swiss Security with the rank of Major providing security for Regions Bank inn Arabi, La. Rick was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend to many. He loved nature, learning and educating others about plants, his fur babies Cody, Baby, Tigger and his feathered buddy Squeaky. Rick leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories. He truly loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rick is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Andre' & Retha Luscy Deffes, Parents, Thomas Constant Sr. and Shirley Deffes, Brothers, Alan Constant and Robert Roe Jr.
He is survived by his Wife of 56 Years, Gladys Chimento Constant of Meraux, La., Son, Thomas "Tommy" P. Constant III and wife Dawn of Meraux, La., Daughter, Tara Constant Alfonso and husband Terry of Slidell, La., Brother, Michael Constant Sr. and wife Germaine of Independence, La., Sister, Barbara Constant Pearce and husband Jimmy of Violet, La., Grandson, Nicholas Rickoll & wife June of Slidell, La., Granddaughters, Alyssa Constant & Felix of Violet, La., Skyler Cross of Slidell, La., Great Grandson, Niccolo Rickoll and Crewe Perez, Great Granddaughter, Arabella Perez, Brother-In-Laws, John Chimento and wife Charlene, Dominick Chimento and wife Sharon and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM with a Service at 11:00 AM at Celebration Church, 5709 E Judge Perez Drive, Violet, La., 70092. Pastor Ricky Murphy will officiate.
Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington, La.
