She was predeceased by : her parents, Whitney Ryder and Ella Conrad; her husband Barttless James Byrd, Sr.; her children, Kenneth Ray Byrd, Calvin Byrd, John Byrd and Cheryl Byrd; and her brother Walter Ryder.
She is survived by : her children, Ricky Byrd (Connie) of Patterson, David Byrd of North Dakota, Danny Byrd (Tori) of Ville Platte, Barttless James Byrd, Jr. of Lawtell, Betty Roberie (James) of Opelousas and Linda Kimble (Troy) of Krotz Springs; and her brother Wayne Ryder (Julie) of Sulphur. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
