He is survived by: his wife Julia Deville Vaughn of Melville, LA; his children, Willie Hicks of Opelousas, LA, La'Tesia Vaughn of Melville, LA, Malveaux (Dexter) of Melville, LA, Brittany Butler of Melville, LA and Smith (Sherman) of Melville, LA; his stepdaughter Misty Aymond Sheldon (Shane) of Melville, LA; and his siblings, Matthew Vaughn, Jr. of Palmetto, LA, Dennis Vaughn of Melville, LA, Leonard Vaughn of Melville, LA, Jimmy Vaughn of Melville, LA, Ruth Lee Adams of Melville, LA and Nellie Mae Vaughn of Melville, LA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
