He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Guffey and Beatrice Guffey; and his brother Kenneth Guffey. He is survived by: his brothers, Grady Guffey Jr. (Dotty) of Laredo, TX and Otis Guffey of Crawfordville, FL; his nieces, Deana Frederick of Glenmora, LA and April Guffey of Knoxville, TN; his cousin Kim Gordey of Elmer, LA; and his friend Julie Gonzales (Castle) of Pasadena, TX.
