It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Gleason of Maurice, Louisiana, born in Holland, Michigan, who passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Gleason and Virginia Seabaugh Gleason; and his brother Willis Michael Seabaugh. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lee Leopard Gleason; his sons, William Ronald Gleason, Jr. (Katherine) and Christopher Lee Gleason (Carlene); his sister Joanne Dixon; and his sister-in-law Anne Seabaugh.
He was the recipient of the Holden-Proefrock Award to honor his lifetime contributions to haz-mat safety.
