We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2025, at the age of 86, Herndon Blake Wederstrandt of Maurepas, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herndon Blake Sr. and Corinne; his siblings, Roger and Judy; and his grandchild Ivie Mary Efferson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Herndon Blake III, Brian (Mandy), Brett (Melinda), Brad (Donna) and Travis (Jody); his grandchildren, Brandon, Erich, Karl, Herndon Blake IV "BamBam", Bianca, Jordana Bourgeois (Bryce), Londyn (Cole), Brittany Delatte (Anthony), Brailyn, Bailee Villneurve (Camron), Haley, Brad Jr., Jonah, Corbin and Baylor; and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Aubrey, Kennedy, Lil'Anthony and Nylah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (19114 LA-22, Maurepas, LA 70449). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Beyond his contributions to sports, Weedy was a respected leader, always striving to uplift and unite those around him.
