He is survived by: his wife Dana Reine Melancon; his children, Derek Melancon (Niki) and Nicole Boyle (Jim); his stepchildren, Randy Graham (Ginger), Danny Graham (Kate), Candy Yglesias (Mike), Megan Reine and Carson Guillot; his grandchildren, Megan, Preston Melancon, James, Carter Boyle, Tyler, Kylie Yglesias, Jordan, Chloe, Easton Graham, Isabelle Graham and Gage Hill; his stepfather Donald Lambert; his brothers, Rickey Melancon (Lisa), Troy "Tub" Melancon and Michael Melancon (Dawn); and his parents-in-law, Jerry and Sharon Bedgood.
