He was predeceased by: his wife Beaulah Mae Tillery; his parents, Walter Tillery and Annie Mae Tillery; his parents-in-law, Ernest Dugar, Hazel Dugar Mitchell and Alvin Mitchell; his daughters, Joan Marie Lee and Joyce Daniels; his siblings, Alton Tillery, Leo Rogers Tillery Sr. (Barbara) and Rose Marie Hawthorne; his son-in-law Jesse Browning; his siblings-in-law, James Hawthorne, Errol Dugar, Ernest Dugar, Samuel Dugar, Edward Johnson (Eula) and Vera Washington; and his grandson Kenneth Buckner.
He is survived by: his siblings, Clovis Tillery (Ora Mae) and Bettye Tillery Cleveland; his sister-in-law Hazel Delk Tillery (Eula Johnson); his son-in-law Larry Daniels; and his godchild KaiVal Howard. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church (1000 Walkertown Way, Marrero, LA 70072). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
