He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Bellanger and Virginia Bellanger; his daughter Myra Lachute (Scott); and his brothers, Simon Bellanger, Jr. (Kathy), Charles Bellanger (Millie) and Bob Bellanger.
He is survived by: his wife Eugenie Bellanger; his son Richard J. Bellanger, Jr. (Ashlie); and his sister Joy Buew (Armand). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (4401 7th St, Marrero, LA 70072).
