He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Besson; his parents, Margaret Forbes and Newman Besson; his daughter Tammy Dronet; his stepdaughter Denise Cancienne (Mike); his granddaughter Amy; and his siblings, Larry Besson, Linda Baudoin (Leroy) and Shirley Margiotta.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Kathy Guidry (Tuan), Jerilyn Chauvin (Bobby) and Karen Roth (Doug); his grandchildren, Glenn, Jeremy, Jennifer, Bobby, Jason, Jamie, Charlene, Brittany, Kayla and Fred; and his siblings, Ronald Besson (Barbara), Joyce Hebert (David), Kathleen Shipley (Wayne), Judy Johnson and Gail Oleszkowicz (late John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
