With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mercedes Saravia Davila (Marrero, Louisiana), who passed away on April 18, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Saravia and Soledad Oviedo; and her stepmother Manuela Montenegro Saravia. She is survived by: her children, Oscar Antonio Davila (Jeri Lynn Stansbury) and Patricia Davila Hemard (Eugene "Gene" Hemard); her grandchildren, Paige Davila Entwisle (Jonathan Entwisle), Grace Isabel Davila, Brandon Hemard, Dustin Hemard and Dylan Hemard; her great grandchildren, Olivia Entwisle and Mia Entwisle; her stepsisters, Thelma Rodriguez of California and Sylvia Calderon of California; her sisters-in-law, Olivia D. Toth, Ligia Davila of Mena, Lillian Castrillo of Davila and Lillian Davila of Quiroz; and her cousins, Carmen Davila Szalai, Marcia B and Sandra. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
