She was predeceased by: her husband Ellis Batom; her son Rickey Batom; her stepchildren, Betty Lewis, Ellis and James Batom; her parents, Tom Sturdivant, Sr. and Fannie Mae Sturdivant; her siblings, Tom Sturdivant, Jr., Myrtle Tidmore (Yank), Ethel Lee Sturdivant and Obe Sturdivant; her niece Margie; and her sister-in-law Mary Sturdivant.
She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie S. Marshall (Herman, Jr.); her stepdaughters, Barbara Mathias and Carolyn Blackman; her grandchildren, Tyisha Marshal, Kendrick Marshall, Sr. (Kenya), Monica Morris (Demieko), Herman Marshall, III (Tiffany), Thurston Marshall (Beverly), Alicia Batom and Vaughn Tobias (Jessica); her niece Leona Sturdivant; and her nephew Junior Tidmore. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
