She was predeceased by: her daughter Lydia Wooden; her grandson Brian; her parents, Oscar Wooden, Sr. and Bessie Forcell Wooden; and her siblings, Alice Wooden, Ernestine Wooden and Naquin Gertrude Wooden.
She is survived by: her sons, Leon Wooden and Tyrone Dorsey; her grandchild Darrious Wooden; and her sister Mary Ann Perkins. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Second St. John Baptist Church (242 Avondale Garden Rd, Avondale, LA 70094). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
