It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Overstreet Patin of Marrero, Louisiana, born in Lakeland, Louisiana, who passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Morris Patin, Sr.; her son Morris Patin, Jr.; her grandson Jamal Scott; her parents, John Overstreet and Grace Sambo Green; her stepparent Willie Green; and her brother Louis Overstreet.
She is survived by: her children, Wakeelah Hakeem (Kasib), Eula Scott, Barbara Jones (Vernon) and Raymond Patin, Sr. (Marilyn); her great great grandchild Kayson Charles Williams; and her sister Anna Sambo. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
