She is survived by: her husband Joseph R. Matthews; her children, Jerjuan Ryan Matthews (Melonie), Kheyla Sare Matthews and Cedric LaCour (Pamela); her grandchildren, Skylar, Jaron, Sophia and Jiovanni Matthews; her mother Ruth Walker Smallwood; her siblings, Wanda Hill, Angela Carter, LaVern Smallwood, Yolanda Payne (William), Kent Smallwood, Jeffery Smallwood (Nicole) and Randal Smallwood (DeShon); and her friend Mary Louise Winder. She is also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
