With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph E. Simon of Marrero, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia M. Simon and Eustache J. Simon; and his siblings, Gladys S. Benoit, Lucille Arceneaux, Ernest Simon, Marie S. Rodrigue, Felix Simon, Lloyd Simon, Rose Marie Simon, Lucien Simon and Beatrice Simon Mizell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Simon; and his great grandchildren, Bradley Aspen d'Aquin, Bentley Aston d'Aquin and Waylon Patrick Dykes.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Marrero - Mothe Funeral Homes (7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072). A Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Restlawn Park Cemetery (3540 US-90, Avondale, LA 70094).
