He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Phillips Sr. and Ida Gage Phillips; his sister Ida Mae Williams; and his sister-in-law Thelma Phillips. He is survived by: his siblings, Harriet P. Gaines, Aurthur Phillips, Walter Phillips, Jr., Joseph Phillips, Emanuel Phillips and Charles Phillips; his nieces, Cassandra "Noonie" Williams and Yvette Williams; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Williams and Henry Roussell, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
