He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Welsh, Sr. and Laura Lewis Welsh; and his siblings, Murphy Billew, Sr., Ernest Billew, Joseph Welsh, Jr., Donald Welsh and Ida Mae Billew.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Marie Welsh; and his children, Chandra Welsh, Telesha Johnson (Silas) and Tanya Welsh. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
