It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geneva Pettis of Marrero, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Pettis and Sarah Pettis; and her brother Isaiah Pettis. She is survived by: her siblings, Debra P. Jones, Annie Merle Price, Elizabeth Carter and Jessie P. Young; and her nieces and nephews, Darleen C. Williams, Denise F. Payton, Michelle Hughes, Mavis McCall, Paula McRae, Michael K. Ford and Karl Carter. She is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
