She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Johnson, Jr.; her parents, Herbert Simmons and Ethel Pearl Simmons; and her siblings, Lawrence, Ulysses, James, Jimmie, Clarence Simmons, Lou Ethel Birden, Mary Casmere, Elnora Birden, Catherine Simmons, Katherine Scott, Gloria Jones, Clara and Edna Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Aveline J. Lewis and O'Keefe Leonard Craig Johnson; and her siblings, Ernest Charles Simmons and Joyce M. Rose. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
