She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Cormier and Madeline Desselle; her husband Stanley Gomez; her child Cary Gomez; her grandchildren, Chance Gomez, Ryan Lewis and Cody Gomez; and her siblings, Clomer Mayeaux, Doris Morningstar, Rodney Cormier and LJ Cormier.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Gifford (late Skip) and Danny Gomez; her stepdaughter Dawn Lauland (late Byron); her grandchildren, Rochelle Guidry, David Lewis (Jenna), Mamarelle and Danielle Urrata (Buddy); her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kamryn Guidry, Elmarell, Rylan, Dash Lewis, Aubree, Tate Barrere, Jude, Dani and Elle Urrata; her brother Lyman Cormier; and her pets, Belle and Boots. She is also survived by many family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help memorialize Ms. Elmarede.
