It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Anderson Thomassie of Marrero, Louisiana, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Anderson and Madeline Anderson; and her siblings, Robert "Bobby" Anderson (Mary), Linda Anderson Keller and Melinda Anderson.
She is survived by: her spouse Sherriel "Pookie" Thomassie; her sons, Kirt J. Thomassie, Sr. (Carrie) and Chad J. Thomassie, Sr. (Peggy); her grandchildren, Kirt Jr. (Whitney), Kelly Rogers (Roy), David (Kayla), Hunter, Chad Jr. and Brice; her great grandchildren, Christian, Rhett, Roy IV, Royce, Rory and Remy; and her sister Faye Anderson Avants. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
