It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Anderson Thomassie of Marrero, Louisiana, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Anderson and Madeline Anderson; and her siblings, Robert "Bobby" Anderson (Mary), Linda Anderson Keller and Melinda Anderson.

She is survived by: her spouse Sherriel "Pookie" Thomassie; her sons, Kirt J. Thomassie, Sr. (Carrie) and Chad J. Thomassie, Sr. (Peggy); her grandchildren, Kirt Jr. (Whitney), Kelly Rogers (Roy), David (Kayla), Hunter, Chad Jr. and Brice; her great grandchildren, Christian, Rhett, Roy IV, Royce, Rory and Remy; and her sister Faye Anderson Avants. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
