He is survived by: his wife Deborah Nash Simmons; his children, Elese S. Hunter (Christopher), Thaddeus D. Simmons (Alisha), Cybil S. Johnson (Thomas), Adele S. Gould (Will) and Kyra S. Gooden (Earl); and his siblings, Alida S. Blunt, Edwin, Sandra, Gretchen Simmons, Lenora Collins (Charles), Greta Jones, Clithia Dibble (James) and Wynn Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Davis Mortuary Service (6820 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
