She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Carson; her parents, Clinton Shelton, Jr. and Dorothy Lee Sholes Shelton; her brother Clinton Shelton III (Mercedes); and her sister-in-law Minnie Louise Boston.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Carson (Terez S.) and Shanette Calloway (Theodore H.); her grandchildren, Terrance T. Lyons IV, Theodore H. Calloway II, Shanteds N. Calloway, Tedra L. Calloway and Ricshard C. Carson; her great great grandchildren, Elajah and Cain Calloway; her godchildren, Shawanna Daniels and Ashley L. Mackie; her siblings, Joshaline Shelton Mackie (Myron), Katherine Shelton Robinson (Rubin), Ledell Shelton and Elaine Shelton Darensburg; and her siblings-in-law, Tyrone Carson, Phonia Carson (Mary), Joan Bell (William), James W. Carson, Jr. and Calvin Carson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
