He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Harris and Stella Mitchell Harris; his grandparents, Hillary and Paulina Mitchell; and his siblings, Brenda, Robert and Gerald Harris.
He is survived by: his spouse Elenor Harris; his children, Lisa Phipps, Mavis, Avis, Polly, Clifford Harris and Joseph Terrell; his grandchildren, Mariyah, Joshua, Jr. and Jeremiah Harold; his siblings, Shelia Mitchell Singleton, Joseph, Cornell, Anthony, Arnold and Randall Harris; his aunts and uncles, Elvina Westly, Diane Lewis, Betty Johnson, Gervin, Harold Mitchell and Alvin Poole; his son-in-law Clifford Phipps; and his siblings-in-law, Leroy Hughes, Dwight Singleton, Evans Foley and Janice Hughes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
