With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Mitchell Franklin-Blazio of Marrero, Louisiana, who passed away on December 27, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Keith Blazio; her son Larry Simmons; her parents, O'Neal Mitchell and Augustine Chopin-Thompson; and her brother Leroy Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Troy Simmons, Sr. (Patricia), Jamie Florant Jackson (Byron) and Wardell Simmons; and her brothers, Ernest Mitchell (Mary) and Roland Noel. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
