He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Nathan and Sadie Bell Raine; his grandparents, Chestang Raine (Nezer) and Ollie Powe (Parefine); and his sister Martha Nell Raine.
He is survived by: his wife Martha L. Raine; his children, Carolyn Jones (Terrance), Clinton Walley, April Raine, Lakeshia Crenshaw (Surtauras), LaQuinya Sanders (Troy) and Kimya Wicker (Sahara); and his brother Curtis Lee Raine. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
