He is survived by: his spouse Darlyn Shorty Simmons; his children, Alcide Simmons, Jr. (Leslie), Kendra Felicia Williams (Gregory), Deimetra Arliss Simmons Hayes (Christopher) and Darlene Montgomery (Oliver, Sr.); and his siblings, Richard Simmons, James Simmons, Edward Simmons, Theodore Simmons, Phillip Simmons (Lasandra), Alvin Simmons, Mary Lee Alexander, Elizabeth Kennedy, Louise Littleton, Patricia Harris (Lionel) and Lawrence Simmons, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
