She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Lavalais and Florence Lavalais; and her siblings, Anthony Lavalais Sr., Landry Joseph, John Lavalais, Joseph Lavalais, Phillip Lavalais, Gerard "Billy" Lavalais, Edward Charles Lavalais, Theresa Day and Martha Ann Jenkins.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Jacobs; her children, Cheanell Lucas (James), Patricia Jacobs, Sandalon Jacobs (Angelica), Mario Jacobs and Casey Jacobs (Tony); and her stepdaughter Bertha Lavalais (Daniel). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and host of nieces and nephews.
