She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. "Newt" George and Beatrice Guillot George; her siblings, Sam, Jimmy George, Altha Cailleteau, Jane Lacy and Anna Mae Laborde; her son Ken LaPrairie; and her daughter-in-law Susan Couvillon LaPrairie.
She is survived by: her husband Elton Bab LaPrairie; and her children, Keith LaPrairie and Kathy Dupuy (Terrel) of Marksville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
