She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Lewis and Elnora Lavalais Lewis; her siblings, Leo Lewis, John Lewis, Josephine Mose and Velma Andrews; and her children, Patrick James Mayeux, Louise Angela Brown, Reginald Young and Marie Prier.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Young of Marksville, LA.; her children, Charles Young (Simone) of Carencro, LA., Melvin Trent Young (Jeralyn) of Marksville, LA., Cory Young (Alicia), Ervin Young (Samantha) of Marksville, LA., Bruce Young of Mansura, LA., Robert Young (Permela) of Grand Prairie, TX., Christopher Young of Marksville, LA. and Lesha Oliver (Peter) of Mansura, LA.; and her brother Bernard Lewis of Seattle, WA.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Kash 's Funeral Service (445 W Bon Temps St, Marksville, LA 71351). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church (120 S Preston St, Marksville, LA 71351).
