He was predeceased by: his parents, Camile Bernard and Florence Desselle Bernard; his sisters, Bernadine Broussard and Nelva Franks; and his grandson Craig Bordelon.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Franks Bernard of Marksville, LA.; his children, Brent Bernard (Marjorie) of Noble, LA., Kimberly Voohries (Keith) of Larto, LA. and Celeste Mezzacapo (Randy) of Marksville, LA.; and his siblings, Steve Bernard (Dora) of Echo, LA., Curt Bernard (Mary) of Converse, LA., Chris Bernard (Julie) of Brouillette, LA., Neva Ponthier (Isaac) of Marksville, LA. and Rose Lester (Charles) of Oakdale, LA.. He is also survived by three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
