He was predeceased by: his parents, Wisley Marks and Lucy Kidder Marks; his daughter Donna Marks; and his sisters, Ida Dauzat, Margaret Aymond and Susie Marks.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Roy Marks of Marksville; his children, Carl Marks of Bunkie and Sherrie Marks of Hessmer; and his siblings, Donald Marks (Eldine) of Mansura, Bertha Armand of Mansura and Barbara Laborde (Jimmy) of Mansura. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
