It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dewey Roberson of Marion, Louisiana, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Gaye Roberson; his parents, Rufus Roberson and Alma Roberson; his son Gene Roberson; and his siblings, Rufus "June" Roberson, J. B. Roberson, Donald "Punkin" Roberson, Bobby Roberson, Betty Turner and Peggy Defee.
He is survived by: his children, Dicky Roberson (Pam), David Roberson and Jenny "Lucy" Wood (Albert); and his grandchildren, Heath Wood (Michele), Heather Tucker (Mitch), Russell Roberson (April), Brooke Reeves (Roger), Janna Roberson, Kaylynn Roberson, Gerard Roberson, Ashley Roberson and Tony Roberson. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to three incredible caregivers, Kim Wheelis, April Fife and Mindy Lowery, as well as the staff at Arbor Lake Nursing Home and Union General Hospital. *Due to the rising cases of covid-19, the family requests to please practice social distancing during the graveside service.
