He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Newsom and Ollie Newsom; his brother Kenneth Newsom; and his daughter Brenda Newsom. He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Newsom; his children, Scotty Newsom (Leah) and Angela Knight (Mark); and his grandchildren, Brandon Albritton (Amanda), David Albritton (Leslie), Cory Reppond, Jeremy Newsom (Sarah), Landry Newsom, Kailey Reeves (Chandler), Logan Knight and Shelby Knight (Devin Liles). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
