She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Pittsinger and Nellie Phy (Clark); her husband Franklin T. Canter, Jr.; and her son Nelson T. Canter. She is survived by: her daughter Nina Persky (Scott) of Many, LA; her siblings, Betty Mayes of Crandall, TX, Shirley Binion of Lewisville, TX, Peggy Greer of Rome, TX, Ronnie Pittsinger of Farmersville, TX, Donnie Pittsinger of Farmersville, TX and Randy Pittsinger of Farmersville, TX; and her grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Ashley, Prescott, Natasha and Tina. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Disabled American Veterans Hall (29336 LA-191, Many, LA 71449).
