With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma Downing Rose of Many, Louisiana, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on July 15, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil S. Downing and Flora Eva Downing (Burney); her husband Robert C. Rose, Jr.; and her siblings, Flora Ann Reno, Virgil Downing Jr., Dan Downing and Albert Downing.
She is survived by: her daughters, Virgina Rose Burkett (Don) of Many, LA, Diane Rose of Houston, TX and Debbie Rose of Many, LA; and her grandchildren, Stephen Van Sickle (Jessica) of Natchitoches, LA, Christiana Cook (Chris) of Lafayette, LA and Caleb Burkett (Maegan) of Many, LA. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family ask that donations in her name be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
