With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mike Rankin of Many, Louisiana, born in Monahans, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 6, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine "Sissy" Rankin; his parents, Jack Whitby Rankin and Thelma Ruth Rankin (Prince); and his brother Jack Rankin, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Wright (Shane) of Many, LA, Mandy Pfeifer (Jason) of Lafayette, LA and Whit Rankin (Maegan) of Cecilia, LA; his sisters, Gloria Hodge of Anchorage, AK and Toni Purcell of Anchorage, AK; his sister-in-law Cindy Rankin of Lafayette, LA; his grandchildren, Alaina Wright, Ava Pfeifer, Claudia Hebert and Ruby Rankin; and his nephews, David White, Matt Purcell, Matt Tarver, Andy Tarver, Pete Preston of Joe Boydstun, J. C, Andries and Thomas Andries. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
