He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Harvey Gates and Allie Bruce Bourghs Gates; and his siblings, Tommy, Raymond Gates and Betty Gates.
He is survived by: his children, Annette Wyatt (Richard) of Marthaville, Michelle Colston (Marty) of Many and Chris Gates (Amanda) of Zwolle; his grandchildren, Terra Gentry (Ryan), Chase Wyatt, Tyler (Alyssa), Jax Colston, Colby, Maci and Holdyn Gates; his great grandchildren, Rylie, Reece Gentry, Kingston Gates and Remi Colston; and his sister Paula Elliott.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM and at 12:30 PM at the Warren Meadows Chapel (355 Capitol St, Many, LA 71449). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
