He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Guay; his parents, Watson Guay and Annie Guay (Maxie); and his son-in-law Kerry Hemperley. He is survived by: his children, Marla Kimble (Rickey) of Simsport, LA, Melinda Pleasant (Bruce) of Weatherford, TX, Melanie Merritt (Dustin) of Florien, LA and Timothy Guay of Pineville, LA; his siblings, Bobbie Jackson of Many, LA and Billy Guay (Linda) of Many, LA; his grandchildren, Hannah Pleasant, Chase Hemperley, Joshua Pleasant, Mason Merritt, Logan Merritt (Ashlyn) and Jordan Merritt; and his great grandchild Selah Merritt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
