He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Lamar Barber and Delores Azlea Barber (Lewing); his brother John Gavin Barber; and his grandparents, Lud Lewing, Gladys Lewing, John Barber and Maybelle Barber.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Barber of Many, LA; his siblings, Elda Veuleman (Jerry) of Many, LA, Terry Tedder (Pam) of Many, LA, Gary Joe Tedder of Texas and Pat Weldon; his son Rick McConnell, Jr.; his wife Kristen of Many, LA; and his grandchildren, Gavyn McConnell and Gynger McConnell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
