He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Owen Seegers and Rosa Belle Seegers (Henry); his brothers, Jimmy Seegers, Lloyd Seegers, Kenneth Seegers and Wayne Seegers; and his half-brother Lanny DeLoach.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Seegers of Many, LA; his children, Lisa Seegers of North Carolina, Donna Meeks of Apopka, FL and Douglas Seegers, Jr. (Christin) of Many, LA; his grandchildren, Sherrie Seegers, Stephnie Meeks, Nick Meeks and Sarah Vidrine; and his siblings, Carolyn Moore of Many, LA, Sue Koenig of Shreveport, LA and Gerald Seegers of Shreveport, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Mt Zion Baptist Church (15064 LA-175, Many, LA 71449). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
